....and a whole lot of went to this event.

It was a (logistically) interesting event.
    < 24 hours notice.
    Very limited notice.

Still, looks like about 30-40 people made it to this event!
It's historically linked in our events page for this December 12, 2021 event

Here is the link to Sandy Munro's YouTube video of this event!

I have had 2 huge complaints about owning my Tesla.

    1. I have to keep a bucket, washer/squeegee in my garage, as I no longer stop at gas stations.
If I want my Windows clean, gotta do it at home.
    2. I am very used to keeping a small garbage bag in my car, hanging off the shifter in between the front seats.
My Tesla Model Y does not have a shifter, and garbage ends up on the passenger’s floor.

    Well, i solved problem # 2.
Found these on Amazon, and it states that they fit Model 3 & Model Y.
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0946CNXWJ/

Got mine in, and they do the job of holding a garbage bag beautifully!

See me at the TOCENE drives, & ask to see if/how they fit on an S or X.

    Well first off....Its' supporting charities.
NHMS supports a variety of children's charities.

This is a great event at the NASCAR track, and you bring AND drive your car on the track.  Everyone who has gone loves it!

There are two types of courses that are offered:
    Oval Course
    Road Course
Link to PDF map of the two courses.

Paul Braren, one of our members, is the ultimate documenter.
He captured quite a few moments of the TOCENE visit to the event held at the NHMS (New Hampshire Motor Speedway), where we are guests as it is not OUR event.
Check out his post for our Sept 12 2021 event.

So, Marques Brownlee, whom I found on YouTube & Twitter, did another "test drive" to see how the charging experience was on a road trip.

Doing a 1,000 mile loop from NYC area, to Lake Placid, to Niagara Falls, to Scranton PA, back to NYC starting point.
This is the link to the 19-minute YouTube Video here.

A pretty cool take, with some expected, and some unexpected results.

    1 x Gas Car - Audi Q5
    1 x Tesla Model S (refresh)
    1 x Ford Mach-E

    TONE
Tesla Owners Club of New England

Working with Tesla, they provided us an official club name.
Even though we are on a probationary period at this time (all clubs go through this probationary period), with some luck, folks will be able to find this site sometime in October 2021.

No worries...we can still hold events in the meantime (actually, that's a requirement), so we continue to use evite.com for now....

Once we have get through probation, the site can go live, be shared with our ever growing list, and we can accept membership dues and members here on the site!

This will be a fun year, with many new friends.
Thank you all for being part of this club!!!

OK, so technically NOT a charger chat (as there is no charger)….
Link to the event right here....

    Still, this is so cool!!!
Being held at the Fox Creek Taven, Ipswich, MA

The police chief, Chief Nikas, of Ipswich, MA, has just recently gotten the first Tesla for the police force in Ipswich!
AND he wants to engage with the community, answer our questions, and perhaps even turn the lights/flashers on for us (my own selfish wish), so we can see how that looks on a Tesla.

I’m sure there are lots of questions that other people will have.

During the summer, it is tough for the Chief of Police to carve out time, so this is a mid-day event, mid-week, in July.

Perhaps Chief Nikas can be persuaded to hold another event on a weekend once the busy season (summer) is over???

    NOTE:
We are visitors here...This location was picked by the Chief Nikas for a few reasons....good size parking lot, good food, and restrooms (if needed).
We will have to "wing it", but let us try to all stay on one side of the parking lot, and keep the front spaces free for restarant customers....It may be off normal "lunch" hours, but let's not assume we are the only ones who will be there that day....
